It contains a set of voltage-free Hall Effect contacts (Normally Open & Normally Closed) that can be connected to sounders, buzzers, alarm systems, or lights to signal when the magnet and armature plate are separated.

Troubleshooting & FAQs
Why is the magnet running hot? "Power to Lock" devices require constant power and can run warm. However, excessive heat is often caused by:
- Voltage Mismatch: Using a 24V DC power supply for a magnet set to 12V DC operation.
- Insufficient Amperage: The power supply is not providing enough current.
- Voltage Drop: Long cable runs with an inadequate wire gauge can cause the magnet to run hot due to insufficient current.
Why is the armature plate vibrating? This is typically due to an underrated or faulty power supply, or if the magnet is set for 24V DC but is receiving only 12V DC.
Why won't the magnet lock properly? The most common causes are:
- Misalignment: The armature plate is not correctly aligned with the magnetic lock.
- Power Issues: A faulty or underrated power supply, or a voltage mismatch (e.g., 12V DC power for a 24V DC setting).
Installation & Technical Tips
- Verify Voltage: Before powering on, double-check that the wiring connections match your chosen power supply (12V DC or 24V DC). Failure to do so can cause the lock to overheat, fail to lock correctly, and eventually damage the system.
- Regular Maintenance: Periodically clean the surfaces of both the magnet and the armature plate with a light oil to ensure optimal performance.
