It will work on most 5 wire systems but we need pictures of your old handset including the inside so we can see the connections and then confirm if this handset will work for you

Can't I just connect it up like my old one?
No, it might look like your old handset and do the same thing but it's the way the handset is manufactured that is the difference
Does this handset have a privacy button or switch to turn it off?
Yes, ONLY when you set the handset for electronic tone ring can you switch it off. In other words, if your old handset was an electronic tone call then you set the little jumper link 'JPA' inside the handset to 'E'
If your old handset has an AC buzzer inside then you need to set the little jumper link 'JPA' inside the handset to 'R' but you will not be able to mute the buzzer
