FAQ's
What's the drop down menu box for?
This is simply in case you require an extra handset with the system or a standard lock release (The lock release we supply is the M1-Lock which you can see by clicking the BLUE link on your left hand side called "Lock releases" - you don't have to buy anything from the menu box if you don't want to
Do I require any other equipment such as a relay for opening a door release?
You don't need any other relays as the transformer for the AV system has in-built relay contacts, however, If you are connecting a magnetic will you require an additional 12v DC 1amp power supply
What cable is required?
We would suggest 8 core alarm cable or BT-CW1308 4 pair cable for this and ask that you download the drawing for the system to ensure you understand the cable layout
I have Cat5 cable - can I use this?
You can use Cat5 cable but this type of cable is suggested for data installations and not telecommunication systems, it is too brittle and will eventually cause you endless faults. This is a main reason why we no longer support equipment installed with Cat5 cable
What is the furthest cable distance the system can run to?
150mtr from the door panel to the transformer and 100mtr from the transformer to the furthest handset
Can the system operate additional entrances?
No I'm afraid it is single entrance only
Is the door panel vandal resistant or weather resistant?
It is vandal resistant and weather resistant but not weather proof
We would suggest using a waterproof sealant around all the panel edges
Are spare parts available for this?
Yes, we have been supplying this system for 5 years so spares are available and ex stock
Can I integrate a keypad with this system?
