Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Can I use this card reader with my existing system? Yes, but only if your system is PC-based and uses the Wiegand 125kHz 26-bit EM-RFID format. This is not a standalone unit and cannot be used for other applications.
How do I know what format my system uses (Wiegand, Mifare, etc.)? Wiegand systems typically use the 125kHz frequency with EM/HID cards and fobs. In contrast, Mifare systems use a 13.56MHz frequency. Your system's manual or supplier can confirm the exact format.
Can I use my own swipe cards with this reader? Yes, as long as they are Wiegand 125kHz 26-bit EM-RFID cards and are used in conjunction with one of our PC access control systems.
