Our Prestige system is designed for flexibility, allowing you to create the perfect security setup for your needs.
- Intercom Facility: Communicate between multiple video monitors within the same property for up to 30 seconds at a time. This is a standard feature on all our video monitors.
- Multiple Monitors: Connect up to two video monitors. You can order the second monitor with your initial kit or purchase it separately from our Accessories section.
- Mix & Match Door Panels: Tailor your entrance by choosing from our range of four distinct door panels, including single or dual call buttons, models with integrated keypads, and standard audio-only units.
- Multiple Door Panels: Secure up to four different entrances by connecting multiple door panels. This requires a DBC4A1 distribution unit, available in our Accessories section.

What cable should I use? The system is compatible with CAT5/e, alarm, or telephone cable. For optimal performance, especially over long distances, we recommend using a 1.0mm-1.5mm stranded, twisted-pair, non-shielded cable. Please refer to the cable distance files in the 'Specifications' tab for detailed guidance.

How do I wire the system? You can use two methods:
- Loop-in/out (Daisy Chain): A traditional series connection.
- Star Topology: All cables run to a central point. This method requires a DBC4A1 4-way distributor for every four video monitors.

How many door panels and monitors can I connect? You can have up to 4 door panels and 2 video monitors. Adding multiple door panels or more than one monitor in a Star Topology setup requires a DBC4A1 distributor for each. Note: Door panels and video monitors cannot share the same DBC4A1 unit.

What type of lock can I use? The system supports any lock type, though some may require additional components.
- Standard Locks: The door panel directly supports any 12V DC lock release (power-to-unlock or power-to-lock) with a current draw of 350mA or less.
- High-Current Locks: For locks drawing more than 350mA, an external power supply (like our PSB 1-amp 12V DC model) is required.
- Magnetic Locks: Connecting to a magnetic lock requires a timer relay board, which also enables a timed exit button facility.
- Electric/Automated Gates: For gates needing a Normally Open (NO) trigger, please download the specific wiring diagram from the 'Specifications' tab.
