Q: Can the magnetic lock be used outdoors? A: The lock itself is not weatherproof. If installed outdoors, the electrical connections must be fully protected from rain and moisture.

Q: Can the SR2-X card reader be used outside? A: Yes. It has an IP66 rating, meaning it's fully protected against dust and powerful water jets.

Q: Is the SR2-X compatible with standard RFID or Mifare fobs? A: Yes, it works with both standard Wiegand RFID (125Khz) and Mifare Classic (13.56Mhz) cards and fobs.

Q: How do I program new cards or fobs? A: Programming is simple using the included Master Add/Delete card. You can also use the remote control, which is ideal for deleting lost fobs by entering their Unique ID (UID) number. We recommend recording the 10-digit UID printed on each fob.

Q: What if I lose the Master Add/Delete card? A: You can easily create a new Master card by resetting the SR2-X reader. This process will not delete any existing user fobs. The reset procedure is detailed in the downloadable manual.

Q: Can I use two SR2-X readers on a single door (for entry and exit)? A: Yes, simply purchase an additional SR2-X reader.

Q: If I use two readers, can one fob open both? A: Yes. You can link up to nine SR2-X readers and sync user data from the primary unit to all others. Refer to page 7 of the manual for instructions.

Q: Can this system operate an automatic gate? A: Yes. Please see the downloadable wiring diagrams for guidance.

Q: What type of cable do I need? A: Standard 3-pair or 4-pair alarm cable, available at most electrical or DIY stores, is recommended.

Technical Tips

• Power Connection: The magnetic lock supports 12V or 24V DC. Double-check that the wiring corresponds to your power supply voltage before powering on to prevent overheating or lock failure.
• Maintenance: Periodically clean the surfaces of the magnet and armature plate with a light oil to ensure optimal performance.
