FAQs
Is the lock suitable for external use? No, the lock connections are not weatherproof and must be concealed from direct rain.
Can the SR2-X card reader be used outside? Yes, it is IP66 rated, offering complete protection against dust and powerful jets of water.
Does the SR2-X reader work with any standard RFID or Mifare fob? Yes, it is compatible with both Wiegand RFID 125Khz and Mifare Classic 13.56Mhz technologies.

What type of cable do I need? Standard 3- or 4-pair alarm cable, available at most electrical or DIY stores, is recommended.
Tech Tips
- Powering the Magnetic Lock: Before powering on, double-check that the lock is wired correctly for either 12V DC or 24V DC. Incorrect wiring can cause overheating, locking failure, and eventual system damage.
