Overview
The SR2-X is a compact and weather-resistant proximity card reader designed for access control systems. It operates on the Wiegand 125kHz 26-bit EM-RFID format, making it compatible with our PC access control systems and any other system that uses EM-RFID proximity cards or key fobs.
Please note that this is not a standalone reader. When used with the AC8000 system, you will need the SR2-X Setup & Connection Guide.

Can I use this card reader with my existing system? Yes, but only if your system is a PC-based access control system that uses the Wiegand 125kHz 26-bit EM-RFID format. The SR2-X is not a self-contained unit and cannot be used for other applications.
How can I tell if my system is Wiegand, Mifare, or another format? Wiegand format typically uses a 125kHz frequency with EM/HID cards or key fobs. In contrast, Mifare format uses a 13.56MHz frequency. The best way to confirm your system's format is to check the user manual or contact the supplier.
Can I use my own swipe cards with this reader? Yes, you can use your own cards with our PC access control systems, provided they are compatible with the Wiegand 125kHz 26-bit EM-RFID format.
