Overview
Enhance your property's security with our stunning gloss black, single-button, hands-free video door entry system. This kit features a 7" colour TFT touchscreen video monitor and requires only a 2-wire connection, offering an impressive operational range of up to 200 metres.
General Functionality:
- Audio Door Panel: You can add an 'audio-only' door panel for more flexibility. This is available in the Accessories section.
- Intercom Facility: If you have more than one video monitor, you can communicate between them for up to 30 seconds at a time. This is a standard feature on all video monitors.
- Multi-Monitor Facility: Connect up to two video monitors. Additional monitors can be purchased with your initial order or separately from the Accessories section.
- Mix and Match: The Prestige system allows you to combine different door panels. Choose from four distinct options, including single or dual call buttons, integral keypads, and standard audio-only panels, all available in the Accessories section.
- Multi-Door Panel Facility: You can connect up to four door panels to a single system. Find additional panels in the Accessories section.

FAQs
What are the cable requirements? The Prestige system can operate on CAT5/e, alarm, or telephone cable. For best results, especially over long distances, we recommend using a 1.0mm-1.5mm stranded, non-shielded, twisted-pair cable. Please see the 'Specification & Manual' tab for detailed cable distance files.
How is the system cabled? There are two installation methods:
- Looped Cabling (Daisy Chain): A traditional 'loop in/out' format.
- Star Cabling (Star Topology): All cables run to a central point. This method requires a DBC4A1 4-way distributor for every two video monitors or for connecting additional door panels. The DBC4A1 is available in the Accessories section.
How many door panels and video monitors can I have? You can have a total of four door panels and two video monitors per system. To achieve this, you will need one DBC4A1 4-way distributor for the door panels and another DBC4A1 for the video monitors (if using Star Topology). Note that video monitors and door panels cannot be connected to the same DBC4A1 unit.
What type of locking devices can I use? The system supports any type of locking device, though some may require additional components.
- Standard Locks: The door panel directly supports any standard 12v DC 'power to unlock' or 'power to lock' release rated at no more than 350mA.
- High-Current Locks: If your lock release is rated at more than 350mA, you will need an additional power supply, such as our PSB 1-amp 12v DC model.
- Magnetic Locks & Gates: Connecting to a magnetic lock or an automated gate (requiring a Normally Open trigger) will require a timer relay board. This also enables a 'timed' exit button facility. Please refer to the drawings in the 'Specification & Manual' tab.
