Key Features & Expansion Options
- Intercom Facility: Communicate between monitors within the same property for up to 30 seconds at a time. This is a standard feature on all our video monitors.
- Multi-Monitor Support: Connect up to two video monitors per dwelling. You can expand to four monitors using a DBC4A1 distributor.
- Multi-Door Panel Support: Connect up to four door panels to your system with the addition of a DBC4A1 distributor.
- Mix & Match Panels: Customise your setup by combining different door panel styles, including single or dual call buttons, models with integrated keypads, and audio-only units.
- Audio-Only Door Panel: Add an 'audio only' door panel to your system for extra flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What are the cable requirements? The Prestige system operates on CAT5/e, alarm, or telephone cable. For best results, especially over long distances, we recommend using 1.0mm-1.5mm stranded, non-shielded, twisted-pair cable.
How can the system be wired? You can use either a traditional 'loop in/out' (daisy chain) configuration or a modern 'Star Topology' where all cables run to a central point. Star Topology requires one DBC4A1 distributor for every four video monitors.
What type of locks can I use? The system supports any standard 12v DC 'power to unlock' lock release rated at no more than 350mA. For locks rated higher than 350mA, an additional power supply (like our 1A 12v DC PSB unit) is required. Connecting to a magnetic lock or using a timed exit button requires a separate timer relay board.
Can I connect it to an electric gate? Yes. To connect to an electric or automated gate that uses a Normally Open (NO) trigger, please refer to the specific diagrams in the installation manual.
