Digital Keypad K401-EW
Overview
The Digital Keypad K401-EW is a high-security, self-contained unit rated IP66 for all-weather use. This versatile "3-in-1" device combines a digital keypad, proximity card reader, and key fob reader, all housed in a vandal-resistant, electroplated zinc alloy casing. It operates on a 12v-DC input and is ideal for both internal and external applications. Access can be granted via a 4-6 digit PIN, a key fob, or a combination of both.
Note: This keypad is a standalone unit and is not compatible with the PC AC8000 Access Control System.

Is this compatible with standard key fobs or cards? Yes, it works with any standard Wiegand 125khz 26-bit EM-RFID format card or key fob.
How are key fobs and cards programmed? Programming is done simply and directly through the keypad.
Can I restrict access to just key fobs? Yes. You can configure the keypad for multiple access methods: key fob/card only, PIN only, or a combination of both.
Can I connect an external exit button? Yes, the keypad includes an input for an exit button.
Can I use two keypads for a single door (entry and exit)? Yes, and you can program the same key fobs/cards to operate both units.
What does "4-6 PIN with #" mean? This means you can set a user PIN that is 4 to 6 digits long. Users must press the # key after entering their PIN to confirm and gain access.
Technical Tips
To ensure longevity and reliable operation, we recommend periodically cleaning the keypad face. This prevents the buildup of dirt and grime between the buttons, which can cause them to become "sticky." Regular maintenance is key, especially in high-traffic or exposed areas.
