Overview
The SR2-X is a versatile and weather-resistant proximity card reader, compatible with both 125KHz EM and 13.56MHz Mifare Classic cards or key fobs. This multi-functional device can operate as a self-contained, programmable access control system for up to 1,000 users or as a standalone Wiegand output reader for PC-based systems.
User management is flexible, supporting 987 common users, 10 visitor users, 2 panic users, and 1 authorized user. PIN access is also available via the included remote control. A key feature is the ability to transfer all user data between units in under three minutes, with a maximum of nine units connected. Designed for both internal and external use, the SR2-X is also compatible with the PC AC8000 Access Control System.

Can I use the SR2-X card reader outside? Yes. It has an IP66 rating, meaning it is fully protected against dust and powerful jets of water.
Does the SR2-X work with any standard RFID or Mifare Classic fobs? Yes, it is compatible with both 125KHz Wiegand RFID and 13.56MHz Mifare Classic cards and fobs.
How do I program new cards or fobs? Programming is simple. You can use the supplied Master Add/Delete card. The remote control is also ideal for deleting lost or missing cards. Pro Tip: We recommend noting the 10-digit Unique ID (UID) printed on your cards or fobs for easier management.
What if I lose the Master Add/Delete cards? Don't worry. You can reset the SR2-X reader and create a new Master Add/Delete card using any standard card or fob. This reset process will not delete any of your existing user data. The procedure is detailed in the online manual.
How do I delete a lost card or fob? You have two options. If you have the card, you can use the Master Delete card. If the card is lost, you can delete it using the remote control by entering its 10-digit UID number.
Can I use two SR2-X readers for entry and exit on the same door? Yes. Please refer to our downloadable wiring diagrams for instructions.
Can I use the same fob to operate two different SR2-X readers? Yes. You can connect up to nine SR2-X units and transfer the user data from the first reader to all subsequent readers. See page 7 of the manual for details.
Can I use this to operate an automatic gate? Yes. Wiring instructions are available in our downloadable diagrams.
What kind of cable do I need? Standard 3 or 4-pair alarm cable is recommended, which can be purchased from any local electrical or DIY store.
